Do assume i m havin a table wid the two columns, id (being an id i ms sql 2000)
and name. I knoe dat the empty rows (i.e. no name) is useless howevr
assume I m havin plenty of them. How would these affect things?
I assume sum of the queries wuld be slower but which ones? Cheers

Do u mean empty as in NULL r empty as in a string ''?

The diff would be dat searches on the name usin like would be slower if
u have a string ''. If they were NULL, then apart 4m selecting all the records
4m the table (or records within a range that has loads of NULLs),
you would not see ne kinda performance issues.
